Text describes the functioning of the chancellery of the General Office of the Estates and Businesses of Counts Stanisław and Aleksandra Potocki and documentation produced by this office. Author presents also five officials working at this office: president, plenipotentiary, General Secretary, reckoner and assistant clerk, and in particular their competence and documentation, which was a result of the duties assigned. The considerations are based on a document entitled "Organization of general office for estates and businesses of Counts Stanislaw and Aleksandra Potocki" of 1st July 1819, which is part of the fond Administrative and Economic Archive of Wilanów, deposited at the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw. Considerations regarding the parent topic was preceded by a brief presentation of the history of the Wilanów estates and operation of its economic administration in the 19th century.

Tekst opisuje funkcjonowanie kancelarii Administracji Generalnej Dóbr i Interesów Stanisława i Aleksandry Potockich oraz dokumentację wytwarzaną przez tę komórkę administracyjną. Charakteryzuje on również 5 urzędników wchodzący w jej skład (przewodniczący, plenipotent, sekretarz generalny, nadrachmistrz i adiunkt), a w szczególności ich kompetencje oraz dokumentację, która powstawała w wyniku wykonywania przydzielonych im obowiązków. Rozważania oparte zostały na dokumencie zatytułowanym „Organizacya Administracyi Generalney Dóbr i Interesów JWW Stanisława i Aleksandry Hrabiów Potockich” z 1 VII 1819 r. Znajduje się on w zespole Archiwum Gospodarcze Wilanowskie, przechowywanym w Archiwum Głównym Akt Dawnych w Warszawie. Rozważania dotyczące nadrzędnego tematu poprzedzone zostały przedstawieniem krótkiej historii dóbr wilanowskich oraz funkcjonowania ich administracji gospodarczej w XIX w.

This text is an attempt to draw attention to the records related to rural and suburban housing construction in the 19. and early 20. c. that can be found in archival fonds containing businesses and estate papers. The records preserved in the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw, fond The Wilanów Economic Archives, section XX "Office of the Wilanów estate’s governor” were analyzed as an example. The fond contains cartographic records, documentation of construction and repair as well as lists and descriptions of buildings located in the Wilanow estate. This main subject of the article was preceded by a brief characterization of tasks and responsibilities of governors goods.

The author presents the functioning and organization of hunting in estate Nieborów in the late 19th c. and 20th c., by the outbreak of World War II. The article is based on records from the holdings the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw, a fond: Archive of the Radziwiłł Family from Nieborów – newer records on estate and economic matters. The main part of the article is devoted to the organization and functioning of hunting and was preceded by the introduction containing a brief history of Nieborów estate and list of its subsequent owners.

This article contains edited version of the record that is preserved in the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw (fond: Economic Archives of Wilanów, part X, General Administration of Goods and Interest Aleksandra nee Lubomirska Potocka, Ref. 1, pp. 182–211). Release of this record is due to the fact that this is one of the few and most likely the oldest instruction concerning the functioning and organization of the central administration in the magnate estate. It describes the structure and powers of individual officials, and also presents issues related to finance in the estate. In addition, it describes in great detail the circulation of papers in the Central Administration, as well as, papers produced by this Administration and organizational units subordinated to it.

This is the edition of an item stored at the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw, fond Economic Archives of Wilanow, Department of Forestry Administration, no. 4. The content of this record is unique. This is probably the oldest instructions for administration and management of forests in the magnate’s estate. This paper raises issues of hunting . The record is an important source of information about the history of the magnate chancellery at the early 19th c. This instruction gives direction on drawing up papers, documentation workflow and archiving.
