W niniejszym artykule dotyczącym tanatoturystyki opisano zjawisko „ciemnej turystyki”, jej definicje oraz kategorie. Tanatoturystyka to złożony rodzaj turystyki, który dotyczy miejsc zlokalizowanych zarówno w Polsce, jak i na całym świecie. W opracowaniu wymieniono najważniejsze z takich obiektów. Analizie poddano motywy, jakie kierują turystami decydującymi się na wyjazdy związane z tematyką śmierci, a także nakreślono problem komercyjnej strony „ciemnej turystyki”.

In this article which applies to thanatotourism was described a phenomenon of „dark tourism”, its definitions and categories. The thanatotourism is a complex kind of tourism, which concerns places located both in Poland and all over the world. In this paper were mentioned the most important of such objects. In article were analyzed motives which guide tourists deciding to travel to places connected with the topic of death, and also was described a problem of commercial side of „dark tourism”.

The article pertains to the issue of territorial marketing in creating the image of lo-cal government unit on the example of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. The aim of this paper is to identify by which methods the region builds brand and positive perception. Analysis of the use of territorial marketing tools is conducted based on the method of research sources pertaining to the theme. It was proved that the Subcarpathian region concentrates on social capital and openness for innovations, but still needs a greater emphasis on marketing.
