The text aims to demonstrate the self-deconstruction of epistemicide carried out by the Surui indigenous people themselves over the past years. Through the analysis of academic works and Paiter Suruí reports, it is evident how they have reverted a situation of epistemicide that began with the official contact in 1969, in the context of internal Brazilian colonialism, to the point of being awarded and recognized nationally and internationally for their work.

O texto tem como objetivo demonstrar a autodesconstrução do epistemicídio realizada pelos indígenas Paiter Suruí ao longo dos últimos anos. Mediante a análise de trabalhos acadêmicos e dos relatos Paiter Suruí, evidencia-se como reverteram uma situação de epistemicídio iniciada com o contato oficial em 1969, num contexto de colonialismo interno brasileiro, até serem premiados e reconhecidos nacionalmente e internacionalmente pelo seu trabalho.
