ZusammenfassungFeste Familiennamen sind in Norwegen spät üblich geworden, und die Sitte, solche Namen zu führen, ist vom Ausland gekommen. Der geistliche Stand ist eine sehr wichtige Gruppe in dem Beinamenentwicklungsprozess. Eine Untersuchung über die Familiennamen einer ausgewählten Gruppe von Pfarrern in der Volkszählung vom Jahre 1801 zeigt, dass die Mehrheit dieser Gruppe Namen ausländischer Herkunft führt und dass fast alle von früheren Immigranten abstammen. AbstractFixed family names are a late phenomenom in Norway, and the custom to use such names came from abroad. The clergy is an important group in the growing process of family names. An investigation of a selected group of priests in the census of 1801 show that the majority of them used names of foreign origin, and almost all of them descended from earlier immigrants.
