Article collected some valuable data about land structure, unemployment and other factors connected to rural development in Canada and Canadian economic change during the twentieth century. The article is a result of scholarship in Department of Agricultural Economics, University of British Colum-bia in Vancouver (from January 7, 2008 to May 20, 2008). It shows structure of farm size in the period of time 1951–2001 in Canada and the percentage of unemployment in the period of time 1956–2006.
