After the end of World War I, the governmental authorities had to address the renewal of Polish education, including higher education. The topic of reorganization of the education of future doctors was discussed in journal such as “Przegląd Lekarski oraz Czasopismo Lekarskie”, published from 1909 to 1921. The journal contained articles by Tadeusz Browicz, Antoni Mars, M.W. Herman, Antoni Cieszyński, Teofil Zalewski, Antoni Schröder, Adam Wrzoska, and Hadryan Demianowski. They emphasized the necessity of: improving the quality of teaching in secondary schools, extending the duration of education, shortening breaks, expanding study programs by including psychology, introducing changes in curriculum and reorganizing them, and also ensuring well-prepared and qualified faculty for medical faculties to effectively conduct classes.
