In her paper, Beata Langer analyzes Instagram content relating to Gustaw Morcinek, a well-known Silesian author. The analysis has been prepared to register the current status of this author’s presence on Instagram. The working assumption is that the characteristics of Instagram posts indicate a specific pattern of Instagram users’ activity regarding Morcinek. Langer has used the collected data to analyze the content of posts and the relationship between the image and hashtags. She has also carried out a quantitative compilation of the topic of posts and the most relevant hashtags. The analysis has not been concerned with user comments due to their number, which is negligible. The material for analysis was collected and selected – out of the total of 534 posts – on September 22th, 2021.

W tekście podjęto próbę analizy zawartości portalu Instagram w ograniczeniu do materiału na temat osoby pisarza Gustawa Morcinka. Analiza przygotowana została w celu rejestracji stanu bieżącego prezentującego obecność znanego śląskiego pisarza w portalu społecznościowym Instagram. Charakterystyka zamieszczonych tam materiałów ma wskazać pewien wzór aktywności użytkowników Instagrama dotyczący pisarza zapomnianego współcześnie przez czytelników. Zebrane dane wykorzystano w celu analizy treści postów i relacji między obrazem a hasztagami. Dokonano również zestawienia ilościowego tematu postów i najtrafniejszych hasztagów. Z badań wyłączono analizę komentarzy użytkowników, ponieważ ich liczba była znikoma. Materiał do analizy zebrano i wyselekcjonowano 22 września 2021 roku. Wśród zaprezentowanych postów, których łącznie zebrano 534, dokonano selekcji materiału.

Over Four Centuries of Relations between the Netherlands and Türkiye

The year 2012 marked the 400th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and Türkiye. The history of Dutch-Turkish relations presented in the work is a synthetic description of the mutual relations between the two countries. In the political relations between the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands and Türkiye, in addition to the commercial reasons characteristic to the Republic, it was the existence of a common enemy that united the countries, although over the course of four centuries, it was the commercial relations that dominated over the political ones. In the historical outline presented, it can be seen that the activities of the two countries proceeded quite smoothly, however, the recent history may bring a greater number of conflicts related to migration.
