Istotnym ułatwieniem modernizacji sektora energii w Polsce może być skorzystanie z doświadczeń Szwecji, w której dzięki skutecznym działaniom instytucji państwa oraz poparciu społecznemu dla tych działań dokonano zmiany sposobu funkcjonowania sektora energii. W wyniku świadomej i skutecznej zmiany polityki energetycznej udało się stworzyć warunki do funkcjonowania tego sektora w sposób, który współcześnie może stanowić wzór dla innych krajów świata. Celem artykułu jest omówienie doświadczeń Szwecji dotyczących modernizacji sektora energii. Szczególny nacisk położono na kwestie dotyczące rozwoju energetyki jądrowej, liberalizacji rynku energii oraz ograniczania energochłonności w Szwecji. W końcowej części przedstawiono wnioski dla modernizacji sektora energii w Polsce.

Swedish experiences related to the modernization of their energy sector and involving an effective contribution of state authorities as well as social support may serve as an example to be followed by Poland with a view to modernizing its energy sector. As a result of an effective and conscious modification of the energy policy in Sweden, this country succeeded in creating an energy sector that can serve as a valuable example to be followed by other countries. The purpose of this article is to discuss Swedish experiences related to the modernization of their energy sector. Particular emphasis has been placed on the development of nuclear power, liberalization of the energy market as well as on limiting the energy intensity in Sweden. The final parts of the article present the implications for the Polish energy sector.

Proces pomiaru kapitału intelektualnego jest bardzo trudny, gdyż dotyczy czynników trudno mierzalnych, zmiennych, których wpływ na wyniki przedsiębiorstwa jest niejednokrotnie bardzo ulotny. Ze względu na duże problemy w jednoznaczności oceny kapitału intelektualnego nie udało się stworzyć ogólnoświatowych standardów i metod pomiaru tej kategorii. Celem opracowania jest przedstawienie uwarunkowań dokonywania pomiaru kapitału intelektualnego oraz jego znaczenia dla kreowania wartości przedsiębiorstw. Wskazano także na czynniki, które decydują o jakości dokonywania pomiaru kapitału intelektualnego organizacji.

The process of measuring intellectual capital is very challenging as it involves hardy measurable and variable factors which frequently produce no long-lasting effects on the company’s results. Therefore, no uniform standards or methods of measuring this particular intangible asset have been established so far. The purpose of this paper is to present factors which influence the measurement of intellectual capital as well as to discuss its role in determining the company’s worth. The paper also specifies aspects affecting the quality of measuring the company’s intellectual capital.

The aim of the paper is to carry out a SWOT analysis of the Polish Energy Group (PGE SA). The analysis helps identify the most prominent strengths and weaknesses taking into account the environmental factors that may influence the Group’s development. PGE SA is the biggest producer and supplier of electricity in Poland and one of the biggest of its kind in the energy sector in Central and Eastern Europe.
