Despite the efforts of health authorities, vaccination coverage of targeted child populations is still poor in northern Nigeria. This study investigated the socio-economic determinants of the utilization of vaccination services in Metropolis of Gusau. A total of 400 questionnaires were administered to women that have children under five to gather data, and that was complemented by qualitative data. Data was analyzed using percentage and Chi-square. Analysis of the data revealed a significant correlation between socioeconomic status and the utilization of vaccination services. Although previous studies have indicated that the utilization of health care services is determined by socio-economic status, this study revealed that the issue of religion is still a critical determinant of utilization On the basis of the findings of this study, recommendations were made.
