I the elaboration it has ettempted to show micro, small and medium-sized enterprises as a key development factor of the Polish economy in 2013. For analysis purpose the level of the expenses has been adopted with main focus on R&D activity. The funds utilization allocated to Poland during 2007-2013 has growing trend, but it is not fast enough to have Poland on the better place than the fourth from the end. Increasing efficiency of Polish SME's in obtaining EU subsidies continue to collide with experience and knowledge of international corporations headquartered on the Polish territory.

This study undertakes to depict Poland as the world’s leading producer of apples, as well as to describe the significant economic ties with the Russian Federation in the indicated area. Embargo imposed on the 7th of August 2014 for, among others, agricultural and food products, had a direct impact on deterioration of economic situation of the fruit-growers. This study presents results of interviews conducted with several dozen of fruit-growers from the Grójec district, together with the changes that have been observed before and after the introduction of economic restrictions by Kremlin. It also attempts to assess the economic situation of the fruit-growers based on the surveyed group.

W opracowaniu podjęto próbę zobrazowania Państwa Polskiego jako czołowego producenta jabłek na świecie oraz o istotnych więziach gospodarczych z Federacją Rosyjską we wskazanym obszarze. Wprowadzone z dniem 7 sierpnia 2014 roku embargo m.in. na produkty rolno-spożywcze w sposób bezpośredni przełożyło się na pogorszenie sytuacji ekonomicznej sadowników. W niniejszym studium zaprezentowano wyniki przeprowadzonego wywiadu z kilkudziesięcioma sadownikami z powiatu grójeckiego oraz zmian jakie zostały zaobserwowane przed i po wprowadzeniu restrykcji gospodarczych przez Kreml. Ponadto podjęto próbę oceny sytuacji ekonomicznej sadowników na podstawie przebadanej grupy.
