Główne założenia estetyczne dekonstruktywizmu na przykładzie Muzeum Żydowskiego w Berlinie Daniela Libeskinda

The aim of this article is a deep analysis of the main aesthetic assumptions in the deconstructivist architecture on the example of Daniel Libeskind’s remarkable piece of architecture. The origins of this movement, its theoretical and philosophical foundations as well as the main ideas are presented. Then, based on the building of the Jewish Museum in Berlin, there are demonstrated two of Libeskind’s different approaches to the role of aesthetics in architecture. The first position is an attitude that refers to the emotionalist theory of art, the second to the conceptualist theory of art.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest pogłębiona analiza głównych założeń estetycznych dekonstruktywizmu na podstawie znamienitego dzieła architektury Daniela Libeskinda. Przedstawiono początki tego kierunku oraz jego teoretyczne i filozoficzne podstawy, a także główne idee. Następnie na przykładzie budynku Muzeum Żydowskiego w Berlinie wykazano dwa odmienne sposoby podejścia Libeskinda do roli estetyki w architekturze. Pierwsze stanowisko to postawa odwołująca się do emocjonalistycznej teorii sztuki, drugie – do konceptualistycznej teorii sztuki.

The aim of this article is a deep analysis of the selected aesthetic assumptions of architectural minimalism. The first part of the text presents the history of simplifying and unifying movements in art, especially in architecture. Then, the paper elucidates five most significant treatments used by minimalist architects to achieve beauty in their buildings.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest analiza wybranych założeń estetycznych minimalizmu architektonicznego. Pierwsza część tekstu przybliża historię ruchów upraszczających i uniwersalizujących w sztuce, szczególnie w architekturze. Druga część omawia kolejno pięć najbardziej wyrazistych zabiegów stosowanych przez architektów minimalistycznych do osiągnięcia piękna w budowlach.
