The concept of a party to civil proceedings can be defined through its attributes. Sometimes, a party may suffer some limitation with regard to its properties – in these situations court may appoint a respective curator. The article examines the procedural positions of curators that may be established within the polish system of civil procedure. Determining the lacking properties, that are supplemented by curators, makes it possible to resolve problems arising in practice in terms of their powers and their respective positions.

Pojęcie strony procesu cywilnego można zdefiniować przez określenie właściwości, które posiada. Zdarza się tak, że strona procesu doznaje ograniczenia jakiejś swej właściwości – w tych sytuacjach sąd ustanawia dla niej stosownego kuratora. Artykuł poświęcony jest badaniu pozycji procesowych kuratorów, których ustanowienie oferuje system postępowania cywilnego. Określenie właściwości, których brak uzupełniają kuratorzy, pozwala rozstrzygnąć problemy pojawiające się w praktyce w zakresie ich uprawnień i wzajemnej pozycji.
