Artykuł przedstawia genezę osadnictwa olęderskiego we współczesnych granicach powiatu zgierskiego, zapoczątkowanego pod koniec XVIII w. oraz dziedzictwo kulturowe wsi tego obszaru w kontekście turystyki. Analizy geohistoryczne objęły zagadnienia prawno-społeczne powstałych osad. Podczas próby wytyczenia turystycznego szlaku osadnictwa olęderskiego zostały uwzględnione aspekty morfologiczne i obiekty dziedzictwa kulturowego, tj. cmentarze i zagrody wiejskie.

The article presents the results of research on the location of churches and cemeteries in Josephine villages in the Lesser Poland Voivodship and Subcarpathian Voivodship. Detailed analyzes covered selected rural settlement units on a case-study basis. In the first part of the article, aspects of the genesis of the distribution of churches and cemeteries in the study area were examined while extracting the characteristic types of distribution of the analyzed objects. The further part of the study presents the location and distribution of churches and cemeteries in the contemporary landscape of the studied villages.

The article presents the origin and the current state of conservation of remains of Evangelical cemeteries created during the Frederician colonisation. The present study shows work results in the scope of current Łódzkie Voivodeship. The geohistorical analysis includes the genesis of cemeteries and settlement context (location of old and present cemeteries). In conclusion, the remaining cultural heritage elements in village cultural landscape were also interpreted in detail.

W artykule omówiono genezę i stan zachowania pozostałości cmentarzy ewangelickich usytuowanych w dawnych koloniach fryderycjańskich. Obszarem badań jest województwo łódzkie w obecnych granicach. Oprócz metryki powstania i krótkiego zarysu funkcjonowania nekropolii, analizie poddano także kontekst osadniczy, a mianowicie dawną i teraźniejszą lokalizację miejsc pochówku w krajobrazie kulturowym wsi. Uwzględniono również analizę współczesnych reliktów badanych cmentarzy pod kątem walorów kulturowych i ich ochrony.

The article includes an attempt to investigate the origins and selected aspects of the activity, location, range of impact and physiognomy of rural evangelical schools, established near Łódź in the 19th century. Geographical and historical analyzes covered the educational facilities founded in the villages associated with the Olęder settlement and German colonization in the period of Southern Prussia. In the first part, the authors examined the issue of the functioning of evangelical schools in the light of archival sources. It made it possible to find many new facts and regularities. In the second part of the article an analysis of the spatial impact of schools was carried out, basic location types were identified and the contemporary state of preservation of the studied objects was determined.

The article presents the results of research on the spatial dimension of selected aspects of socio-economic life in the countryside around Szadek in the second half of the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century. The analysis was carried out on the basis of a query of articles and notes from two provincial magazines published in the analyzed period: “Kaliszanin” and “Gazeta Kaliska”. It turned out that they contain a lot of valuable data, often unavailable in other types of historical sources. The research allowed to show the main directions of transformations and the variety of problems relating to socio-cultural issues, economic and agrarian activity and ownership relations in the analyzed area, and indirectly gave an opportunity to present the situation in rural areas in the Russian partition in the period after the enfranchisement of peasants.

Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań dotyczących wymiaru przestrzennego wybranych aspektów życia społeczno-gospodarczego wsi w okolicach Szadku w drugiej połowie XIX w. i na początku XX w. Analizę przeprowadzono na podstawie kwerendy artykułów i notatek zamieszczonych na łamach dwóch czasopism prowincjonalnych wydawanych w badanym okresie: „Kaliszanin” i „Gazeta Kaliska”. Okazało się, że zawierają one wiele wartościowych danych, często nieuchwytnych w świetle innych typów źródeł historycznych. Badania pozwoliły ukazać główne kierunki przeobrażeń oraz różnorodność problemów odnoszących się do kwestii społeczno-kulturowych, działalności gospodarczo-agrarnej oraz stosunków własnościowych na analizowanym obszarze, a pośrednio możliwe było nakreślenie sytuacji panującej na obszarach wiejskich w zaborze rosyjskim w okresie pouwłaszczeniowym.
