Currently in the Sejm committees after the first reading work is underway on the KRO amendment. Eventually, the introduction of the family information institution proceedings is planned. It is considered that the market for mediation services will expand. In divorce proceedings, mediation will become obligatory which will in turn increase the interest of notaries in mediation. The presented article focuses on the possibilities of using the function of a notary in family mediation - at first, it aims to highlight the proposed amendments and then moves on to describing the specificity of family mediation.

The increasing number of divorces results in longer waiting times for cases to be heard in the courts. Therefore, there are demands to speed up or straighten divorce proceedings, including proposals for assistance facilitating divorce. One such evidence is given to a notary public to draw up a notarial deed establishing the dissolution of the marriage. The article answers the question of whether it is time to allow the public notary to dissolve marriages by divorces. In addition, the provisions of selected countries in which it is allowed to dissolve a marriage by divorce before a notary public are presented.

More and more often, minors who cannot manage their property on their own are becoming owners of real estate. Their parents are usually not aware of the limitations related to the disposal of real estate owned by their children, which in practice requires them to be taken into account by legal protection authorities, including notaries. The article presents selected issues concerning the management of real estate owned by a minor. Particular attention was paid to the activities of the minor's property management involving the participation of a notary. At the same time, the basic issues related to granting permission for parents to perform activities exceeding the scope of day-to-day management of real estate and restrictions on the management of a child's real estate by their parents were discussed.
