The article introduces relics of a medieval path connecting Budyně nad Ohří and Mělník which have survived not only in the landscape, but also in the memory of local people. An interesting feature of the medieval landscape has survived in its route; the feature has existed in the form of field paths, and also as a linear structure forming land or cadastral borders which have not changed for centuries. Research of the path has shown an interesting relationship between its eastern section and the instable terrain north of the confluence of the Moldau and the Elbe rivers; this terrain required the construction of a more reliable northern route running via Dolní Beřkovice. A number of interactions occurred during its existence and these interactions influenced the final route in the landscape and its conservation until today.
