Artykuł porusza zagadnienie językowego funkcjonowania osób z autyzmem. Stanowi próbę zarysowania charakteru trudności występujących na płaszczyźnie językowej z perspektywy komunikacyjnej i interakcyjnej. Podejmowane kolejno rozważania obejmujące teorię zachowań społecznych oraz interakcji, a także koncepcję posiadania teorii umysłu, ukazują zaburzoną sprawność komunikacyjną w autyzmie jako zjawisko złożone i dynamiczne. Artykuł obrazuje jej wpływ na jakość interakcji językowej z perspektywy uczestnictwa w życiu społecznym.

The article addresses the issue of language performance of people with autism spectrum disorder. It attempts to analyze the difficulties that can be found on language ground taking communicative and interactive point of view into consideration. Deliberations on not only social behavior theory and interaction but also on the idea of having the mind theory, point out to disordered communication effectiveness in autism as a compound and dynamic occurrence. The article illustrates its influence on the quality of language interaction from the perspective of social life participation.
