The aim of the article is the evaluation of the protection status of the country’s eastern border against threats being the consequence of the conflict in the Eastern Ukraine. The writer acknowledges that the conflict can be used by Russia to carry out hostile actions against Poland. He believes that in this situation the Polish state should expand their defence capabilities. One of the methods should be the preparation of forces that are able to conduct effective counter-diversion actions. In order to do so, he suggests appointing a new formation in place of the disbanded Border Patrols. They would take over the tasks connected with the protection and defence of the Polish borderland and the very state border.

Celem artykułu jest ocena stanu zabezpieczenia wschodniej granicy państwa przed zagrożeniami, będącymi konsekwencją konfliktu na wschodzie Ukrainy. Autor uznaje, że konflikt ten może być wykorzystany do prowadzenia przez Rosję wrogich działań wobec Polski. Uznaje, że państwo polskie powinno w tej sytuacji zwiększyć swoje zdolności obronne. Jedną z metod powinno być przygotowanie sił zdolnych do prowadzenia skutecznych działań przeciwdywersyjnych. Proponuje powołanie, w tym celu, nowej formacji w miejsce rozformowanej Straży Granicznej. Przejęłaby ona zadania związane z ochroną i obroną polskiego pogranicza oraz samej granicy państwowej.
