The article presents the results of Report the archaeological excavations at site 12 in Kalsko related to the construction of the S-3 motorway between Gorzów Wielkopolski and Międzyrzecz. In total, the research provided the possibility to acquire a complex of 1099 relics, including: 21 cores, 3 tanged points, 11 microlithic tools, 8 end-scrapers, 9 burins and 2 flake-axes, among others. Analysis of the flint inventory acquired during the excavations provides the possibility to conclude that the site was settled in two periods. In the first one – they were left by the Lyngby culture, while in the second the relics of the camp are dated to the Mesolithic Period.
The necessity to carry out excavations at the site stemmed from the planned construction of the S-3 motorway between Gorzów Wielkopolski and Międzyrzecz. The investigations conducted on an area of 63 ares explored relics of 430 features. Findings include relics of the Górzyca group of the Lusatian culture from the Hallstatt period, traces of settlement linked with the Przeworsk culture from the Roman influence period, as well as from the Early Middle ages and early modern period.
Site 203 in Gorzów Wielkopolski-Karnin was investigated in relation to the construction of the S-3 motorway. The investigations embraced an area of 120 ares and revealed 180 features. A vast majority is related to the relics of a Mesolithic settlement, as well as a cemetery and a settlement of the Lusatian culture. The remaining traces of settlement were attributed to the Neolithic, the Roman influence period, Early Middle Ages and the early modern period.
The article is devoted to the results of archaeological excavations carried out in 2007-2008 in relation to the construction of the S-3 motorway. The investigated area of 23.75 ares provided the possibility to explore relics of 110 features from three settlement phases. Scarce traces of settlements are connected with the Early Bronze Age. The majority of features and artefacts were connected with the relics of a settlement of the Przeworsk culture from the Roman influence period, while the early modern period is represented by a small number of relics and features.
The article presents the results of archaeological excavations at the site 197 in Gorzów Wielkopolski-Karnin, related to the construction of the S-3 motorway between Gorzów Wielkopolski and Międzyrzecz. The area of 71.5 revealed relics of 313 features. The works led to the discovery of six settlement phases of the site connected with the Lengyel culture, the Lusatian culture, the Jastorf culture, the Przeworsk culture, as well as the Early Middle Ages and the early modern period.
