The study evaluates archaeological finds acquired by survey in Veľké Úľany at the site “Pri ceste” (Galanta district). Basic typological analysis confirmed local activities during various periods from the Neolithic to the modern period (Linear Pottery culture, Lengyel culture, Boleráz group, Baden culture, later Eneolithic, the Bronze Age, Hallstatt period, La Tène period, Roman Period, Migration Period, High Middle Ages, Modern Period). Most of the finds however are dated to the middle Eneolithic, the period of the Baden culture. The set contains mostly fragments of ceramic vessels, rarely also other clay artefacts (pintaderas, whorls and spools), polished stone and lithic industry and daub. The second part of the study maps the settlement of the lower Váh by the Baden culture and based on selected parameters also analyses their settlement strategies.
