The aim of the article was to characterize the society of the city of Piotrków Kujawski in terms of size, nationality, religion of the members, as well as social position and function. It was determined to what extent the living conditions of the inhabitants changed in a private city. The occupation of the population was also characterized. The chronological margin of the article covered the period from 1825 to 1850. The territorial boundaries are the boundaries of the land of the city of Piotrków Kujawski.

Celem artykułu była charakterystyka społeczeństwa miasta Piotrkowa Kujawskiego pod względem liczebności, narodowości, wyznania jego członków oraz pozycji społecznej i funkcji. Określono na ile warunki życia mieszkańców zmieniały się w mieście prywatnym. Scharakteryzowano także zajęcia ludności. Margines chronologiczny artykułu objął okres od 1825 do 1850 r. Granice terytorialne stanowią granice gruntów miasta Piotrkowa Kujawskiego.
