The purpose of this article is to present the role of Józef Tejchma during the December 1970 crisis. The author analyzes Tejchma’s actions, aiming to determine the importance of the role he played and his actions during the crisis. It presents his efforts to quickly end the clashes and minimize bloodshed, as well as his position during the strike of textile workers in Łódź in February 1971.

Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie roli Józefa Tejchmy podczas kryzysu grudniowego 1970 r. Praca analizuje działania Tejchmy, próbując określić wagę roli odegranej przez niego oraz jego postawę w dniach kryzysu. Przedstawia jego dążenia do szybkiego zakończenia starć i zminimalizowania rozlewu krwi, a także postawę podczas strajku łódzkich włókniarek w lutym 1971 r.
