The article analyses the opportunities connected with using archival materials in cultural tourism together with modern technologies, especially mobile apps. The authors describe the process of creating the In the footsteps of the Old Vistula interactive walking route in Krakow, which is available in the Loxper mobile app. The route, based on archival materials, such as maps, photos and documents, presents historical places related to the Old Vistula River, including objects that no longer exist. The text highlights the potential of using archival materials together with modern technological solutions, such as mobile apps based on geolocation, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). This use of archival materials allows users to visualize non-existent objects and depict the past in an attractive and engaging way, thereby enriching the tourist experience. The authors emphasise the important role of the resources of state archives in the development of cultural tourism, as well as the potential for cooperation between archivists and software engineers in order to create innovative educational tools.

Artykuł analizuje możliwości wykorzystania materiałów archiwalnych w turystyce kulturowej z zastosowaniem nowoczesnych technologii, w szczególności aplikacji mobilnych. Autorki opisują proces tworzenia interaktywnego spaceru Śladami Starej Wisły w Krakowie, dostępnego w aplikacji mobilnej Loxper. Trasa, oparta na materiałach archiwalnych, takich jak mapy, zdjęcia i dokumenty, prezentuje miejsca historyczne związane ze Starą Wisłą, w tym obiekty już nieistniejące. W tekście podkreślono potencjał użycia materiałów archiwalnych z wykorzystaniem nowoczesnych technologicznie rozwiązań, takich jak aplikacje mobilne oparte na geolokalizacji, rzeczywistość rozszerzona (AR) i wirtualna (VR). Takie zastosowanie archiwaliów pozwala wizualizować nieistniejące obiekty, wzbogaca doświadczenia turystyczne, umożliwia obrazowanie przeszłości w atrakcyjny i angażujący sposób. Autorki wskazują na istotną rolę zasobu archiwów państwowych w rozwoju turystyki kulturowej, a także potencjał współpracy archiwistów z programistami w celu tworzenia innowacyjnych narzędzi edukacyjnych.
