The article aims to give an account of the attention in Italy towards Poland in early nineteenth century. The paper goes through articles on Polish history and society which were published by the «Antologia», one of the most important journals of the time. In the background, the essay also focu- ses on the bourgeois conception of the relationship between culture, business and policy that played a central role in the cultural history of that age.
