That is possible owing to application of the analytical procedure based on the cycle- analysie-diagnosls-designing, introduction, control. The author analyzes each of these stages in relation to a chosen subsystem of an enterprise such as materials management, its organisation and administration. The article is richly illustrated by scheme and descriptions of analytical and designing procedures in relation to 3uch spheres as: utilization, purchase, storage and transport of materials. Finally, the author presents an algorithm concerning improvement of administration оГ materials management and describes applied techniques of procedure.

The author analyzes three types of production processes orqanization and corresponding three types of information systems. The characteristics of both groups of systems are constructed and matched to each other. According to the above characteristics the author analyzes the functions of sales, purchasing and operative preparation of work. The author considers a problem of stability of environment, training of personnel and software. He stresses the fact that softwares existing on the market are not suited well enough to the requirements of a given organization and they have to bo developed continuously.

The author defines management-oriented and performance-oriented information systems. It is stressed through the paper how they differ from one another. This thesis leads to the fu ther considerations concerning a design of both systems in terms of the role each of the systems play; type uf data and information each of them employs; characteristics of thinking orientation through design process and characteristics of designing team skills. It is stressed that management-oriented system designing is an endless process, since it is oriented on the use of knowledge, whereas a design of performance-oriented system aims at the preplanned goal, since it is oriented at the use of data.
