In connection with the problem undertaken in the title of the article, the author perceives barriers encountored by the contemporary state interventionism in the capitalist eeonony and necessity of its application. Presentation of discussions between neokeynesists and neomonetarists points at th e scope of differentiation in their views on the impact of money on the economy and роssibilities of utilizing it in the eoonomic policy. The final conclusion drawn by the author says that weakness of the theory of economy causes that at best there can be only deducted from it misty and imprecise indications and recommendations for the money policy.

The author has made attempt to determine whether within the framework of the bourgeois economy in which tree main theoretical directions can be distinguished i.e. neoclassical market neo-Keynesian and sociological- institutional, there appears so-called "Neoclassical Synthesis” understood as at attempt linking typically Keynesian assumptions with the assumptions rejected by Keynes.
