Cwiercpetit comes from the period of ownership transformation in Torun printing house which took place at the beginning of the 1950s. The circulation was about 300 copies, and the fact that there is no price given in the paper suggests that the publication was probably distributed free of charge among the staff of the printing house. The publication appeared in May to celebrate the International Workers’ Day and it evinces a noticeable political context. Before Cwiercpetit of 1953, an earlier publication (Cwiercpetit of 1952) had been published. Both publications were meant to be a starting-point for a regular monthly aimed at printer community of Torun, but the idea has never been realized.
