The article presents the reviews of literary books which were published under the auspices of London emigration paper 'Polish Daily' between 1940 and 1943: volumes of poetry by Antoni Slonimski, Stanislaw Balinski, Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska, Kazimierz Wierzynski, debiutant-poets, soldiers: Kazimierz Podgorski, Mieczyslaw Marczak, S. W. Klodowski, the literary team 'Revenge': surrealists - Janusz Rymsza, Jozef Andrzej Teslar, Jerzy Pietrkiewicz, Edward Ligocki; mentions the anthology entitled 'Poems about Warsaw'. Newly published stories announced earlier in the works of: Aleksander Junosza-Galecki, Kazimierz Lipnicki, Jerzy Pietrkiewicz, Ksawery Pruszynski, Arkady Fiedler. The fate of the publication of the 'Peasants' and the 'Teutonic Knights' in English in Scotland was disclosed. Between 1940–1943, under the auspices of 'The Polish Daily', there were 49 literary book reviews. They were a supplement to the popularization of the works, especially in terms of the presented historical, political and military issues. They also tried to be a reliable chronicle registering the daily pulse of war with regards to the polish and foreign culture as well as literary life.
