Предметом размышлений автора статьи является старость. Автор в своем исследовании ссылается на литературу, касающуюся предмета, высказывания старших людей, личный опыт и размышления. Автор указывает на распространение моды на молодость при том, что общество европейских стран стареет. При этом подчеркивает, что общество современной Европы, в том числе и польское, не готово принять старость. Автор постулирует необходимость подготовки к «старению», как в общественной, так и в личностной перспективах. Для того, чтобы старость была сносной, раз она уже не может быть красивой, доброй, мудрой и счастли-вой, она должна быть в меру безопасной.

The subject of the author of the article reflecting is aging. The author refers to the literature on this subject, elder people’s observations, own experience and thoughts. The author indicates the prevailing fashion for youth while the European society is aging. He emphasizes that many societies of modern Europe, including Polish are not prepared to accept aging. The author postulates the need to prepare for “aging” in both social and individual life. For bearable aging, if it cannot be beautiful, good, wise and happy, it should be at least safe.
