A c e rta in n um b e r of concise in fo rm a tio n is given on p a in tin g s and th e co n se rv a tio n tr e a tm e n ts c a rried out. Ten o b je c ts w e re selected a n d th e ir sta te of p re s e rv a tio n discussed an d a t th e sam e tim e th e most im p o rta n t tre a tm e n ts lis ted. A tten tio n h a s b e en d raw n to th e most in te re s tin g fe a tu re s of th e r e s to r e r ’s w o rk as e.g. th e removing of tra c e s le f t by fire in th e p a in tin g “V is ita tio n ” or th a t of m u lti-la y e r plywood su p p o rt on w hich th e p a in tin g “T illag e ” by J. Chełmoński was fixed. A p a rtic u la rly d ifficu lt c rad lin g o p e ra tio n on th e Gothic p an e l p a in tin g “S a in t L e o n a rd ” h a s been shown a t w hich th e po ssib ility was le ft fo r th e wood pan e l to w o rk fre e ly to p re v e n t th e c ra ck in g s and also th e o p e ra tio n of rem o v in g of ex ten s iv e c ra ck in g s an d o v e rp a in tin g s in th e p a in tin g “S till Life w ith a P a lm ” from th e 17th c en tu ry . In view of discoverie s made d u rin g th e ir re s to ra tio n highly in te re s tin g h av e proved to be th e w o rk s c a r ried on a t th e two o th e r p a in tin g s. In th e p a in tin g by Giordano Luca (?) “E s th e r a t th e K in g ” by means of X -ra y in g w e re rev e a le d im p o rta n t a lte ra tio n s th a t h av e b e en m ad e by th e a r tis t h im self. The p h o to g rap h s ta k e n in in f ra -r e d lig h t from th e la n d s cape “Chęciny” by J . Szermętowski h e lp ed to rev e a l th e silh o u e tte of a dog being a compositional e lem en t which has p re sum a b ly been o v e rp a in ted by th e p a in te r himself. To th e same sh o rt re p o rt an in fo rm a tio n has been included concerning 18 field in v e s tig a tio n s an d sa fe g u a rd in g s of c u ltu ra l p ro p e rty w hich w e re mad e in th e te r rito ry of Kielce Voivodship by th e Regional A te lie r for C o n se rv a tio n , Szydłowiec.
