The present paper is an attempt at a morphosyntactic classifi cation of adadverbial attributes in German and Polish adverbial phrases. The morphosyntactic classification of adverbial phrases serves the purpose of representing their possible morphological occurrence. The general goal of this classification, on the other hand, is to show the prenuclear and postnuclear positions of the attributes in adverbial phrases in German and Polish. The general aim of the presented German-Polish contrastive classif cation is to underline the structural differences between these two languages and the influence of these differences on the structure of adverbial phrases.

The present paper describes the problem of structure and functioning of adverbs with the -EHbK- and -OHbK- formant in Russian of the latter half of the 17th century. 19 adverbs of that kind were found in works of the canon Avvakum, in some novels (written in a colloquial language) as well as in official texts, and personal correspondence. In the analysed samples the adverbs with diminutive suffix -EHbK-and -OHbK- carry a positive emotional load, and reflect a high degree of the given feature. The adverbial structures discussed here were used in the colloquial Russian language of the 17th century.

The purpose of the paper is to investigate the semantic and syntactic properties of two lexical items: 'najwyrazniej' and 'widac'. The former has been identified by lexicographers as the superlative form of the adverb 'wyraznie', the latter as a defective perception verb. A closer look at the daily press , however, seems to suggest that there might in fact exist in the language items synonymous with the analyzed two, but used as epistemic particles. It is the aim of this paper to verify this hypothesis.
