W artykule wyjaśnione zostało znaczenie paradygmatu według koncepcji T.S. Kuhna. Przedstawiona została istota paradygmatu w naukach społecznych w ogóle i w nauce rachunkowości oraz ich typologia z punktu widzenia różnych badaczy, zajmujących się tym zagadnieniem. Zwrócono uwagę na paradygmaty rachunkowości, mające znaczenie dla przyszłości rachunkowości.

The article outlined the importance of paradigm according to the concept of T.S. Kuhn. Presented was the essence of paradigm in social sciences in general, and in accounting science. Also, presented was the typology of paradigm from the point of view of the different researchers dealing with these aspects. The article highlighted these paradigms, which are of particular importance for the future of the accounting.
