Rodzina Leondouri w powieści Anny Mitgutsch „Familienfest” (2003) jawi się jako swoisty mikrokosmos, a jednocześnie pozostaje niezbędnym trybem nadrzędnych mechanizmów rzeczywistości – kosmosu życia. W artykule podjęto próbę rozpoznania subtelnych połączeń wewnątrz i pomiędzy obiema sferami celem nazwania ich i zinterpretowania w kontekście wyników badań socjologicznych nad dzisiejszą kondycją rodziny i społeczeństwa (H. Kaelble). Analiza tekstu uwzględnia także metodę „dichte Beschreibung“ (P. Bourdieu), pozwalającą odpowiedzieć na pytanie o znaczenie historycznie zmiennych znaczników codzienności dla strategii literackiego zapisu pozaliterackiej rzeczywistości.

The Leondouri family in the novel “Familienfest” by Anna Mitgutsch (2003) is presented as a sort of microcosmos at the same time remaining an indispensable element of the superordinate mechanisms of reality – of the cosmos of life. The paper is an attempt to identify the subtle connections inside and between the two spheres with the aim to name and interpret them in the context of the results of sociological research on the condition of today’s family and society (H. Kaelble). The analysis of the text also includes the method of “thick description” (P. Bourdieu), which makes it possible to answer the question about the meaning of historically changeable markers of everyday life for the strategy of literary recording of the extra-literary reality.

Der Aufsatz geht der Triade Liebe-Erinnern-Identität in drei Romanen von Anna Mitgutsch nach. Die identitätsstiftende Funktion der Liebe kommt dort auf besondere Weise zum Vorschein — da es kein liebendes Wir mehr gibt, das die Figuren über ihre Unsicherheit hinwegretten könnte, wird dieses in der Erinnerungsarbeit (re)konstruiert. Den Ausgangspunkt der Erwägungen bildet der von der Autorin in ihrem programmatischen Essay zitierte Satz von Ruth Klüger, der in einer umgewandelten Form das Wesen der erinnerten Liebe pointiert: „Die Erinnerung an die Liebe überwindet die Unerträglichkeit dieser Liebe indem sie eine Liebe zurechtbastelt.“

Artykuł poświęcony jest triadzie miłość-wspomnienia-tożsamość w trzech powieściach Anny Mitgutsch. Kluczowa rola miłości w tworzeniu tożsamości przybiera w nich formę szczególną — z braku miłosnej wspólnoty, która ratowałaby przed niepewnością, bohaterki (re)konstruują ją we wspomnieniach. Punktem wyjścia rozważań jest cytowane przez pisarkę w jej programowym eseju stwierdzenie Ruth Klüger, które w zmienionej formie oddaje istotę wspominanych miłości: „Wspomnienie miłości przezwycięża nieznośność tejże miłości, tworząc właściwą miłość.”

The article is devoted to the topical triad: love-reminiscences-identity in three novels by Anna Mitgutsch. The key role of love in building up identity takes in them a special form on — due to the lack of love ties which could save one from insecurity, the heroines reconstruct it in their reminiscences. The point of departure of these deliberations is the statement of Ruth Klüger, quoted by the writer in her artistic manifesto, which—in a transformed form—conveys the contents of the mentioned loves: “The reminiscence of love overcomes the unbearableness of this love, thus creating the real love.”
