Celem artykułu z zakresu historii etyki jest rekonstrukcja koncepcji Antoniego Złotnickiego w oparciu o analizę tekstów źródłowych. Złotnicki był jednym z nielicznych lekarzy, który stworzył etykę ogólną w ramach własnego systemu filozofii pozytywistycznej. W etyce prezentował stanowisko eudajmonizmu aretycznego: celem życia człowieka jest szczęście polegające na rzetelnym spełnianiu obowiązków.

The aim of this article on the history of ethics is to reconstruct Antoni Złotnicki’s concept, based on an analysis of his original publications. Złotnicki was one of the few physicians who created a general ethics as part of his own system of positivistic philosophy. He was a supporter of eudemonism, which believed in achieving happiness through virtue: the goal of human life is happiness, consisting in devotion to fulfilling one’s duties.
