Il Cristo dell'Apocalisse spesso viene presentato come Re, Giudice e Vincitore. Nell'articolo si cerca di dimostrare la presenza delle caratteristiche di misericordia nella cosi detta lettera alla Chiesa di Laodicea (Ap 3, 14-22). Sembra che il Cristo minacia la comunita religiosa del rigetto per il suo mancato impegno religioso. Uno studio attento del testo rivela che il tono dominante non e quello della minaccia, ma quello di una pedagogia divina che aspetta la conversione e promette la piena comunione dell'amore.
