The conditions concerning effective e-campus model implementation are presented in the third part of the article. The last part contains case studies related to the presented models, conditions and functional abilities. The article is based on the analysis of reports on virtual campuses prepared by the research groups founded by European Union and on analysis of existing e-campuses. The authors participated in building one of them - the Baltic Sea Virtual Campus (BSVC). The research of existing models and their implementation enabled the authors to create their own virtual campus model - a bimodal one with virtual mobility.
