The article describes a digital version of Knihopis českých a slovenských tisků z let 1501-1800, which is accessible via an Internet address www.knihopis.org. An important part of the Knihopis is a dictionary of authorities and definitions. The article describes work on supplementation of secondary authorities, search of the authorities by the user and their application in research on the history of institutions, for example. The database of Knihopis authorities is further compared with a database of monks and monastic institutions elaborated in the Institute of History, Academy of Science CR, including data assumptions and mutual quotations.
