The article discusses bookplates (ex libris) associated with Polish periodicals. Forty bookplates were selected from the rich bookplate collection and divided into the following three categories: (1) bookplates featuring motifs related to periodical press; (2) bookplates associated with individual periodicals; (3) bookplates designed for journalists and press people. It was found that, due to the richness of motifs used by bookplate designers, these bookplates are difficult to classify into just one of the categories mentioned above. Some bookplates have features that put them into two or three of these categories.
