Wpływ bliskości międzyorganizacyjnej na rozwój usług IT w Krakowie i na Górnym Śląsku

W artykule poddano ocenie wpływ różnych wymiarów bliskości (geograficznej, społecznej, organizacyjnej, kulturowej, instytucjonalnej, poznawczej, epizodycznej) na rozwój usług IT w Krakowie i na Górnym Śląsku. Celem opracowania jest identyfikacja tych rodzajów bliskości międzyorganizacyjnej, które mają istotny wpływ na rozwój nowych sektorów gospodarki. Na podstawie analizy treści wywiadów wskazano na znaczenie bliskości geograficznej w skali mikro (parki technologiczne i inkubatory) dla kształtowania interakcji międzyorganizacyjnych. Podkreślono rolę bliskości społecznej opartej o sieci relacji. Wskazano również na znaczenie bliskości poznawczej oraz epizodycznej dla rozwoju firm i całych branż nowej gospodarki. W pracy wykorzystano wywiady z kluczowymi informatorami (przedsiębiorcami, zarządzającymi klastrami i parkami technologicznymi).

The impact of different dimensions of proximity (geographical, social, organizational, cultural, institutional, cognitive, temporary) on the development of IT services in Kraków and Upper Silesia has been assessed in the paper. Hence, the aim of the study is to identify those types of inter-organizational proximity that have a significant influence on the development of new sectors of the economy, in particular IT services. The interviews were conducted with key informants (entrepreneurs, clusters and technology parks managers). Based on the analysis of the interviews’ contents, it has been pointed out the large importance of microscale geographical proximity (e.g. within technology parks and business incubators) in shaping inter-organizational interactions. The role of social proximity based on mainly informal social networks was emphasized. The importance of cognitive and temporary proximity for the development of companies and the entire industry has been also identified.
