Niniejsze opracowanie ma następująca strukturę. W pierwszej części zaprezentowano ewolucję modelu biznesowego agencjo ratingowych wraz z przedstawieniem struktury rynku ratingu. W drugiej części dokonano krytycznej analizy ich działalności ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem potencjalnego konflikty interesów występującego w relacjach pomiędzy emitentami a agencjami ratingowymi. W ostatniej części wskazano propozycje zmian modelu biznesowego agencji ratingowych oraz dokonano przeglądu nowych regulacji agencji ratingowych w USA i w Europie.(fragment tekstu)

The credit rating agencies(CRA) become important players in the financial markets. The aim of the paper is to present the evolution of the business model of these institutions which took place Turing the global financial crisis. Moreover, the authors' intention was to show the problems that were caused directly or indirectly by the CRA. Such improper behaviour of CRA lead to the loosing of trust in the credit rating process. The reactions of financial authorities in the USA and the European Union was the enforcement of regulation activities. The paper has the following structure: the first part deals with the change of the CRA business model from the "investor pays " to "issuer pays ". In the second part the criticisms of CRA was presented. The last part presents the regulation processes in the USA and EU.(original abstract)

Group - buying is a relatively new form of online selling, that has been rapidly growing all over the world. In Poland the first Internet group - buying services occurred in 2010 and their popularity has still been growing. The purpose of the paper is to present global factors that stimulate development of group buying model. Customers' behaviour depends on many factors, including global factors connected with global crisis and changes in customer behaviour. These factors make customers search for attractive and cheap offers. Group - buying provides them with such a possibility. The aim of the paper is to show the dynamics of development of that e-commerce model of selling by Internet. The aim is also to show the changes that take place in the structure of group - buying market. In the paper the business model of group - buying and its development in Poland is characterised. Also, the global factors that make the group-buying services attractive for customers are presented.

Celem artykułu jest przeanalizowanie wytycznych prezentowania modelu biznesowego w raportach rocznych oraz zakresu ujawnień o modelach biznesowych wybranych spółek z branży wysokich technologii notowanych na Londyńskiej Giełdzie Papierów Wartościowych. Dla realizacji tego celu zostały przeprowadzone: analiza wytycznych FRC i IIRC oraz badania empiryczne obejmujące 60 raportów rocznych spółek wchodzących w skład indeksu FTSE-Techmark. Opisy funkcjonowania modeli biznesowych są zazwyczaj dosyć krótkie i obejmują: przedstawienie sposobu kreowania wartości, rynków, na których funkcjonuje jednostka, zasobów oraz najważniejszych działań podejmowanych dla kreowania wartości.

The purpose of this article is to analyse the business model disclosure guidelines in annual reports. In the empirical part the author uses content analysis of business models presentation in annual reports of selected high-tech companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. The sample embraces 60 annual reports of companies from the LSE FTSE-Techmark. Business model disclosure are in most cases very concise and focus on value creation.

Strategie firm sprzedających dobra przemysłowe podlegają ewolucji w kierunku oferowania nie tylko urządzeń wraz z towarzyszącą ofertą „standardowych” usług serwisowych, ale tzw. rozwiązań zintegrowanych, oznaczających kompleksowe wsparcie wszystkich procesów biznesowych odbiorcy w całym cyklu życia oferowanego produktu. Firmy dostarczające klientowi kompleksowe rozwiązania zazwyczaj należą do jednej z dwóch kategorii: sprzedawców systemów lub integratorów systemów. Realizacja oferty rozwiązań zintegrowanych odbywa się przy istotnym udziale klienta.

Business models of industrial goods companies are continuously evolving to include in the value proposal to the customer not only standard maintenance services but also comprehensive life-cycle extended support to the business process of the customer. Firms providing such an offer usually fall into one of the two categories: system sellers or system integrators. Delivery of solution-specific offer requires an extensive involvement of the prospective customer.

Since the nineties the business model category is systematically gaining importance. In many cases the market success o fan enterprise is attributable to an innovative and well designed business model. Most of the definitions of a business model include the following elements: (1) strategic choices, (2) value network, (3) value creation, and (4) value appropriation. From another perspective, business model can be described In terms of resources and competences, organizational structure and value proposal. Business model should not be considered as equivalent of strategy. Business models helps to analyze, test and justify strategic choices. As such, it is a term broader than strategy. All business models are embedded In a specific environmental context. And it is his context that justifies importance and utility of the models.

The authors analyse business models existing in leading technology transfer academic centres throughout the world, in order to find out to what extent they are implemented by entities in Poland. Their attention is focused on such components of business models as: legal form and methods of financing, the mission of operations, the work integration and the mechanisms of collaboration with the science and commercial sector. The study is qualitative, based on the analysis of the case studies of foreign entities. The diversity of global solutions enables a critical look at the activities of Polish technology transfer centres and points to the choice of models which are best suited to their domestic conditions. According to the authors, the improved effectiveness of technology transfer centres is an important part of the debate on the transformation of traditional universities into entrepreneurial universities.(original abstract)

Purpose of the article is presentation to what extent the business model should be used for the development of accounting policy. In the first part of the article we present the most important features of the business model, outlined why it should have impact on the accounting policy as well as those accounting areas in which business model may have the greatest impact on the accounting policy solutions. In the second part of the article, on selected examples, we illustrate the impact of business model for possible accounting policy decisions. We pay attention to such elements of the business model as a types of goods, which are marketed by the company, diversifying products, form of organisation of the market, market development phase, and the election in terms of customers and geographic markets. In the conclusions we outline the main directions of further research.

Polish banking sector is changing constantly. Nowadays the bank's sustainable market position, performance and the ability of profits' increase makes banks to rethink their market strategies and implement changes in their business models. Fortunately some changes have already been done. The consumers' satisfaction, including the fulfillment of their current and future needs, has become the key factor of bank's market success. A new business model requires creating client capital as one of bank's strategic resources and source of sustainable competitive advantage. The paper presents the role of client capital in the process of creating banks' competitiveness, its position in current business models and some remarks and challenges connected with flexible adjusting banks' business models to consumers' needs and expectations.

Konflikty interesów stanowią ważny element funkcjonowania współczesnego przedsiębiorstwa działającego w zmiennych warunkach otoczenia i zróżnicowanych oczekiwaniach różnych grup interesariuszy. Artykuł jest próbą włączenia się do podejmowanej w literaturze przedmiotu dyskusji na temat przesłanek i konsekwencji konfliktu interesów w finansach. Pozwala na wypełnienie luki poznawczej w zakresie obszarów i skutków konfliktu interesów w przedsiębiorstwie, ze wskazaniem społecznego i psychologicznego aspektu jego działania.

Conflict of interest is an important issue for the modern enterprise which operates under the condition of the fluctuating business environment and diversified expectations of different groups of stakeholders. This paper attempts to contribute to the current conceptual debate on the premises and consequences of the conflict of interest in finance. It aims at bridging the cognitive gap related to the areas and consequences of the conflict of interest in the enterprise with regard to the social and psychological aspects of its operation.

The article raises the topic about the character of the innovations in a business model. The aim of the compilation is a presentation the character and elements of the business model, identification of the needs and barriers connected with introducing changes in this model, as well as providing the practical clues about creating innovative business models. The article tries to answer the following questions: - what is the essence of the business model? - when is there a need of introducing changes in the business model? - what factors may inhibit introducing changes in this model? - what is the role of the innovation in this model? This article is based on literature studies, mainly foreign-language scientific journals, as well as the results of surveys carried out by foreign research centres.

This value creates a mostly intangible capital replenished capital. It also amends the interpretation and design strategy. It is a holistic process, dynamic, social, cultural, learner. This new paradigm must take account of business models. Among them is a network organization model.
