The cultivation of herbs is becoming an increasingly popular field of agricultural production, being an alternative to existing activities. One of the herbs grown in our country is a two-year caraway. Two technologies of its cultivation are known: from pure sowing and coordinate cultivation. The aim of the article is to compare the profitability of cumin production grown with each of these methods in a selected farm and a comparative analysis of the obtained quantities with the results of calculations of popular agricultural plant species. Both ways of growing cumin bring a satisfying income, higher than cereals and some legumes. The choice of technology with the associated plant allows better use of the economic and agrotechnical potential of the farm, which results in a very high income from agricultural activity amounting to PLN 5812,84 ∙ ha-1 from a two-year cycle.
