Children's rights, like women's rights, should be treated as human rights. The basic right of the child, together with the right to life, is the right to food and freedom from hunger. However, it appears that securing the children's rights is one of the important global issues in the contemporary world. Statistics report alarming information about starving children, among whom 15 million human beings die from hunger every year. The issue is undoubtedly important in the context of broad global problems facing the world today. At the same time it reflects the need to protect human rights, starting from the most vulnerable human beings, namely children deprived of the possibility to live and develop. The present study considers these matters in the context of the following issues: 1. Children's rights protection in the international documents; 2. Children's hunger as a global problem; 3. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in the struggle against hunger and malnutrition among children; 4. Social justice and solidarity as the basis for anti-hunger campaign in the world.
