Analyzing the possibility of creations and prospects of weather derivatives development on the domestic market the first of all should be identify the business areas that are strongly exposed for weather risk, which are: energy, agricultural, building and transportation. The specificity of the Polish climate is the high volatility of the major weather factors like temperature or precipitations. Similar to other European countries where weather derivatives markets already exist (e.g.: Germany, France, and United Kingdom). Having in mind dynamic grow of companies with regards to management processes, used technologies and marketing strategies, the exposure for weather risk is getting higher. Therefore, there is a strong pressure for creation of mechanisms and instruments that will allow reducing that kind of risks. Currently in Poland there are no conditions for development of weather derivatives market due to lack of demand. That situation is caused by low level of awareness regarding to possibilities of reducing weather risks. Within a few years the demand for such the instruments will appear n together with growing awareness. Once the demand for weather derivative will appear, the existing infrastructure of financial sector is ready for its implementation. Of course it is hard to say what will be the direction of whether derivatives grow on the domestic financial market but taking into consideration its dynamic grow and strong correlations with global markets, there is a small probability that weather derivatives will not appear on the Polish market n it is only the matter of time.

This paper discusses the concept of climate in relation to architectural space. By elaborating on the notion of atmosphere, that today permeates a wide range of architectural research, I intend to expand its relevance by outlining a relationship between atmosphere and climate analogous to what occurs in meteorological studies. While climate represents a rather stable (if evolving) cycle of recurring conditions, atmospheric events are fleeting and less predictable. Equally, architectural spaces can establish a general climatic scaffolding that increases the possibility of particular atmospheres to unfold, without however evolving into a deterministic cause-effect relationship. By addressing and comparing philosophical notions and architectural questions, I intend to formulate a novel theorisation as a useful tool for both criticism and design.

The question in the title is prompted by our failure to deal with the climate and environmental crises. This in turn derives in part from a dubious but widespread idea of who we are as human beings: that we are basically free and independent individuals in economic competition with others for all the satisfactions that late capitalism offers. In recent times the libertarian Titans of Big Tech have added a strong dose of Cartesian mind-body dualism to the formula. More beneficial ideas of who we are can be found in numerous indigenous tradition, and especially in Chinese philosophy, which understands human beings as relatives in a dynamic network of interactions with our fellow humans, the biosphere, and the powers of Heaven and Earth. Together with corresponding views in our own philosophical tradition, these ideas provide good grounds for a dialogue with China about cooperating to resolve our environmental predicament.

In our work we analyse Paris climate agreement in the context of the level of its implementation to practical life. As an input data we use an annual quantity of territorial CO2 emissions and CO2 emissions per capita in selected countries between years 2015 ‒2019. This data should illustrate the actual level of implementation success of Paris agreement. We work with hypothesis, that the Paris agreement is not suitable to solve the problematic of global warming, because of absence of sanction mechanism and concrete measures. Our aim is to confirm/refute our hypothesis. During the writing we use analytic, deductive, descriptive, and comparative method.

The political and academic discussion on the global problem of climate change and its future implications have occurred mainly at the national and international level. However, communities and local governments can have a significant role in mitigating climate change by controlling greenhouse gas production at the local level. The Cities for Climate Protection (CCP) campaign sponsored by Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) assists more than 800 municipalities all over the world to adopt climate change mitigation policies and integrate them into decision making. There are 176 Canadian municipalities involved in this campaign while other policies and programs on the national, provincial and local level are also available to implement activities to mitigate impact of climate change. The principle questions addressed by this research were: how Canadian municipalities contribute to greenhouse gas reduction, if and how communities benefit from those activities.

One of the main ideas of this paper is an effort to capture the region of Eastern Slovakia in the World War II from the perspective of state and agricultural production. The first part follows the general agricultural situation in Slovakia, shortly before and during the formation of the Slovak Republic. The second part has a regional character. Considerable attention is devote to the characterization area Saris-Zemplin county and their weather, climate and production conditions, the striking way affect the quality of life of the population in this area. In the second part of the study separately devote crop and livestock production. These are complemented by valuable statistical data and video to help us create an image of the farm life in eastern Slovakia. An important fact is that the study is constructed on the basis of archival documents from domestic and foreign origin, as it adds considerably to the uniqueness
