Corporate governance is the system regulated by the commercial law. But the law can't always protect efficient shareholder and stakeholder interest. In many cases more efficient can be codes of best practices. The aim of this article is the answer on the question, if codes of best practices did really influence on corporate governance quality. The authors carried out the survey among supervisory boards members of Polish listed companies, which results are included.
