This article is devoted to the analysis of the changes which were introduced to the previous law concerning the choice of Pope by John XXIII in his Motu proprio. The author discusses a little the Constitution introduced by Pope Paul VI which yet did not introduce any revolutionary changes and rules except that one stating that Cardinals who are over eighty-year-old lose their right to elect the new Pontiff and that the total number of Cardinal electors can't exceed one hundred and twenty.
