The contribution deals with the business activities of contemporary vine dressers in Oresany region which constitutes the part of the Little Carpathian 'wine road'. The authoress documents vine dressers' business endeavours since the beginning of 20th century, as well as various difficulties and obstacles which they have had to overcome. The contribution indicates the problems and presents the question of the future trends in viniculture business that can contribute to the development of the region.

From the ancient times our territory has been the crossing of the West Europe and East Europe cultures that formed the traditional country culture. At the Slovak territory arised the heterogeneous and the inside differentiated cultural regions as the result of the complicated conditions of the historical development, the ethnic and denominational factors, various migration movements and colonizations. Since the middle of the 20th century the characteristic attributies of the country milieu has been destroyed. Many predomimantly negative factors started to appeal to the country culture and it has been influenced and changed by them. The beginning of the 21 century should be the period of the renaissance of the localization and regionalization that will cause to revive the local and regional activites. The value of traditional country culture should became the very searched tourist article, should help in revitalization of traditional local and regional identify. It is the very important opportnunity for Slovakia.
