The paper considers the problem of Czeslaw Milosz's text reading by referring to the category of psychoanalysis. It traces the 'splits' in the text, that is those places which reveal the symptoms of war trauma suppression. An attempt is made to show relationship of those places with the texts written earlier and later than World (Swiat) to emphasise the weight of trauma in Milosz's poetry and prose. The above considerations lead to recognize Milosz's text as crypt (in Jacques Derrida's view).
