Celem opracowania było określenie wpływu informacji żywieniowej w lokalu gastronomicznym na zachowania młodych konsumentów ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ich płci. W celu szerokiego ujęcia zagadnienia przeprowadzono zarówno badania jakościowe, jak również ilościowe. Wyniki badania wskazują na to, że informacja żywieniowa w lokalu gastronomicznym ma znaczenie przy podejmowaniu decyzji o wyborze dań przez młodych konsumentów, zwłaszcza kobiety. Największe znaczenie ma umieszczanie informacji o składzie produktów, zawartości alergenów i wartości energetycznej potraw. Sposób prezentacji informacji żywieniowej w lokalu gastronomicznym ma mniejsze znaczenie dla młodych klientów (zwłaszcza dla mężczyzn) w procesie podejmowania decyzji o wyborze lokalu czy dania niż sam fakt jej umieszczenia.

The aim of the study was to determine the effect of nutrition information in catering premises on the young consumers behavior. An important replacement discrim-inating consumers in the use of nutritional information in the decision-making process is sex. In order to achieve broad recognition issues, both qualitative research, as well as quantitative research, were conducted. The survey results indicate that the nutrition in-formation in catering premises is important when deciding on the dishes choice by young consumers, especially women. The greatest importance is the placement of infor-mation on the composition of products, allergen content and energy value of food. The presentation of nutrition information in catering premises is less important for young customers (especially for men) in the decision-making process on the selection of food premises than the fact of its inclusion.
