The theme of sustainable growth generates a continuously expanding discourse. As a for of support, the web-based media provide a comfortable platform for quick access and ubiquitous distribution. As far as this process has an impact on the discourse itself, some linguistic perspective is provided with respect to the consequences. We start from the concept of discourse in terms of some thematically coherent composition asking how the thematic elaboration is influenced through the technically determined conditions of fragmenting and unlimited linking. In combination, both favour a descriptive type of elaboration that is true for a single text as well as for the whole composition. In such a way, the argumentative style of a communication culture of discourse communities is substituted by a descriptive one, whereas the instructive and descriptive communication culture of communities of practice is intensified. The contribution aims at the modelling of some text-linguistically based analysis of text theme that is demonstrated by a case study comparing two websites concerning the term of sustainability.

Zrównoważony rozwój to temat dyskursu stale się rozwijającego. Internet stanowi platformę, dzięki której dyskurs ten rozpowszechniać się może szybko i nieograniczenie. Z perspektywy lingwistycznej sposób dystrybucji pociąga za sobą pewne zmiany odzwierciedlające się w samym dyskursie. W niniejszej pracy dotyczącej dyskursu rozumianego jako zbioru tekstów koherentnych tematycznie, analizie poddany został wpływ, jaki uwarunkowana technicznie sposobem dystrybucji fragmentaryzacja oraz nieograniczone powiązania w internecie, wywierają na potencjał komunikacyjny i zawartość opracowań badanego tematu. Celem rozprawy jest ukazanie na przykładzie dwóch porównywanych ze sobą stron internetowych podejmujących temat rozwoju zrównoważonego, w jaki sposób z perspektywy lingwistyki tekstu modelowany jest temat. Stwierdzono, że zasadniczo preferowany jest opisowo-skojarzeniowy model. Podczas gdy tendencja ta wypiera opartą na argumentacji, konwencjonalną i ograniczającą się do płaszczyzny tekstu kulturę komunikacji w danej społeczności dyskursywnej, wzmocnieniu ulega podejście instruktażowo-opisowe właściwe dla kultury komunikacji w społeczności użytkowników.

Das Thema Nachhaltigkeit füllt einen stetig wachsenden Diskurs. Die Internet-Medien bieten dazu eine passende Plattform für schnelle Zugänglichkeit und allgegenwärtige Distribution. In linguistischer Perspektive geschieht dies allerdings nicht ohne Auswirkungen auf den Diskurs selbst. Ausgehend von einem Diskursbegriff im Sinne eines thematisch kohärenten Textverbundes wird untersucht, welchen Einfluss die technisch bedingten Vorgaben der Fragmentierung sowie der unbegrenzten Vernetzung auf die inhaltlich-kommunikative Elaboration des Themas haben. Der Beitrag zielt auf die Modellierung einer textlinguistischen Themenanalyse, exemplarisch dargestellt anhand einer vergleichenden Fallstudie von zwei Web-Sites zum Thema Nachhaltigkeit. Es wird festgestellt, dass tendenziell eine offene deskriptiv-assoziative Themenlaboration begünstigt wird. Dadurch wird eine konventionell argumentative, auf Textebene geschlossene Kommunikationskultur in Diskursgemeinschaften abgelöst durch eine deskriptiv-assoziative, während die instruktivdeskriptive Kommunikationskultur in Praxisgemeinschaften verstärkt wird.
