Artykuł przedstawia działania izraelskich służb specjalnych po zamachu na stadionie olimpijskim w Monachium w 1972 r., dokonanym przez palestyńską organizację terrorystyczną Czarny Wrzesień. Zginęło wówczas jedenastu członków izraelskiej ekipy olimpijskiej: zawodników, trenerów i sędziów. Po zamachu izraelskie władze podjęły decyzję o likwidacji palestyńskich działaczy odpowiedzialnych za masakrę na stadionie olimpijskim. Mossad rozpoczął operację pod kryptonimem „Gniew Boga”, który wskazywał na religijnie umotywowaną zemstę. Wydarzenia na monachijskim stadionie przedstawiono w kontekście współczesnego zagrożenia terroryzmem w Europie, wskazując na zbieżność ideologiczną współczesnych islamistów i ekstremistów radykalnej lewicy.

The article presents the activity of the Israeli secret services after the attack at the Olympic Stadium in Munich carried out in 1972 by the Palestinian terrorist organisation Black September. Eleven members of the Israeli Olympic team were killed, including competitors, coaches and referees. After the attack, the Israeli authorities decided to eliminate the Palestinian activists responsible for the massacre at the Olympic Stadium. Mossad launched an operation “Wrath of God” whose code name suggested it was a religiously motivated revenge. The incident at the Munich stadium has been presented in the context of the contemporary threat of terrorism in Europe, indicating the ideological similarity between contemporary Islamists and the extremists of the radical left.
