This paper sets on reception of Czesław Miłosz's poetry in Czechoslovakia and in Czech republic. It introduces all 23 translators, who translated and published (in official and unofficial books, magazines and on the internet) poems of polish 1980 Nobel Prize winner. It aims to capture image of development of Czech translators' interest in Miłosz's poetry, which depends on specific political and sociological situation. It covers period from 1946, when Jaroslav Závada introduced Miłosz by publication of translated Miłosz's poem Miasto, to 2013, when was published Petr Poslední's translation of Piosenka o końcu świata.
